Dr. Friedman grew up in Huntsville, Alabama. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in genetics from the University of Georgia in 2008. She then went on to graduate magna cum laude from Auburn University's College of Veterinary medicine. After earning her doctorate of veterinary medicine (DVM), Dr. Friedman completed a one year rotating internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery, followed by a three year residency in veterinary dermatology at Louisiana State University.
After nearly twelve years of working towards her dream of becoming a veterinary specialist, Dr. Friedman became a board certified veterinary dermatologist by the American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD) in 2017. The American College of Veterinary Dermatology is the official specialty organization accredited by the American College of Veterinary Medical Association which maintains the high standards and post-graduate training and certification in veterinary dermatology.
Dr. Friedman married her husband, Richard, in New Orleans last spring. They have since moved to Fairhope, Alabama with their cat, Charles. They think there is no better place to live than on the beautiful Alabama coast.
